Harmonic Therapy is a new manual therapy
that specialises in the restoration of the body’s natural
flexibility removing the stresses and strains built up from
a western lifestyle.
Harmonic Therapy uses rhythmic oscillatory
movements to gently rock different areas of the body, standard
massage and stretching techniques and some joint manipulations.
Most non pathological (not being caused
by or involving disease) and non traumatic (an injury caused
by an accident) problems of the muscles and joints are caused
by an imbalance in tension in muscles and subsequent movement
or alignment of the joints. This may result in muscle pain
as the muscle is overworked and tired; or inflammation in
the joint as it moves or sits incorrectly; or strains in the
ligaments and other supporting structures as they try to stabilise
an imbalanced body.
Harmonic Therapy is designed to correct
these imbalances, thereby reducing pain and wear and tear,
and increasing suppleness.
