Initial consultation involves detailed case history and physical examination of the painful area, which may require you to remove some clothing. Once a diagnosis is reached it will be discussed and a treatment plan agreed.

Treatment depends on the patient’s needs and the nature of the problem but usually involves 1-5 sessions for acute problems. For chronic cases maintenance treatments may be recommended.

The main treatment modalities are:
